Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails. (Proverbs 19:21)
God is not obliged to explain His purpose to us. We are not exempt from suffering. We are not exempt from “random” acts (or life features, experiences) we can’t explain. Sometimes we do not see the logic. Sometimes we cannot understand the cost – the price we are paying. In the end, by fearing and obeying God, we are brought to righteousness, whether we understand his purpose or not.
I am praying for a few people who are suffering greatly through inexplicable times of trial. I wish that I could explain my faith, but I know that God has a greater purpose than their suffering. I trust that some day they will reflect back to this time in their life. This critical time that led to positive changes. That led to better things. Life will get better.
By remaining in faith, maintaining trust, living obediently, we can know that we are His children and He will look out for our best interest.
