Mr. H and I are investing in Real Estate. This isn’t actually a new thing for us, but it’s taken a new direction in the last year. We’re excited to share what we’re learning.
We’ve been landlords since 1996 when we moved into a new house but couldn’t sell our old house. We finished paying off that debt years ago, so the rental income has helped to fund the purchase of a second rental property. Then, we bought a property with the intention of rehabbing it and flipping it for profit, but in a surprising plot twist, following our renovation, we rented THAT property to our daughter and her family and sold the house we’d owned for ~18 months (after doing some rehab to IT).
