Grandchildren

Here’s my grandson James! I can’t wait to see him. Jim and I picked up a couple of pairs of thermal pj’s for him today. Now we’re talking about maybe making an impromptu visit!!! That would be so awesome.

We’d been thinking of making a trek to the NE for Thanksgiving, but maybe it will be sooner (and of a slightly modified scope). No visit to my brother and his family. No visit to our granddaughter (per her adopted parents’ newly stated preference…excuse me while I continue to struggle with that little). But… we’ll get to see both of our grandsons. We talked to Wesley today (our oldest grandchild) and he sounded great! He’s been enjoying the video we made (of us reading to him) and he was excited to talk to us. And we were excited to talk to him! I hope we can see him soon! We miss our grandbabies!

Of all of the heartache, not being able to see our grandchildren is definitely brutal.
