Perhaps because I’ve been immersing myself in Psalms and Proverbs, which have plenty to say about pride and humility, or perhaps for reasons best ferreted out by a professional, this year I finally participated in Neil’s annual Christmahanukwanzaakah post (his 6th).
The reason doesn’t matter, the reality is this:
Whatever the reason, I hope that my fearless rendition inspires others to sing joyfully in praise of the LORD! If I can, you can.
Very impressive! One way that helps me improve is to sing in the the car or in church where my voice can’t be distinguised as being mine.
I should post a disclaimer: *no alcohol was involved in the filming or posting of this video. It makes me laugh!
It actually increases the appreciation if alcohol is not involved!
Heading home from a former company Christmas party at a bar (I did not partake of alcohol) I actually broke out singing “O Come Let Us Adore Him”. there is no video recording of this event, nor would I dare to post it. Yet, I not only sang aloud (remembering most of the verses by heart) I sang it fully and deeply, with abandon; my spirit and soul released this proclamation of the coming of Christ.
I still have to keep in mind the scripture that says, “make a joyful noise unto the Lord”. Thank you Fran for the encouragement.
It’s good to know that my intentions are validated. I haven’t been singing much, lately. I am glad I forced myself to step out in faith and create this video. Thank you, Bernie, for your continued support.
OK, you got me there. No alcohol involved in the making of…but very helpful in the enjoyment of….!
